Cafes with animals are one of the popular trends nowadays. From cats to dogs to bunnies!
It isn’t questionable though why people love these cafes. You can have your favorite drink like coffee or tea and you can also de-stress yourself by spending time with the adorable animals.
A cafe located in Bangkok, Thailand has recently opened. In this cafe, 12 adorable Corgis will greet you as you enter!
The cafe is called Corgi In The Garden and it is pretty popular with locals and tourists too.
The owner of this cute cafe is Tanchanok Kanawaong. According to him, she is a huge fan of Corgis. “I love big dogs and used to have up to 10 Siberian Huskies and Golden Retrievers at the same time. When they grew old and passed away, I looked for dogs with similar characteristics, only smaller in size […] and decided to get a baby boy Corgi.”, she added.
But the charm of the Corgis just started. Kanawaong got another Corgi after, and then one after until she finally has five Corgis.
And then her Corgis started having pups and now, Kanawaong has 12 Corgis in total. She never had plans to open a cafe, but with the surprise bunch of pups the Corgis has brought to her, she decided to share these adorable munchkins to the world by opening a cafe.
The idea of opening a cafe came to her one time when she saw her Corgis running around the house and sharing their energy with her. She realized that other people need to feel this crazy energy brought by these dogs too.
The customers entering the cafe immediately smile when they see the dogs. Porkchop, Pumpkin, Salmon, Bean, Babycorn, and the other pups are enjoying the attention and the companionship of the customers too.
The dogs are trained well too and Kanawaong said they are trained using only positive methods. Treats are also given to the dogs by Kanawaong herself and the customers whenever the adorable floofies do some tricks like a handshake.
The cafe is open for six days a week. It is operating at 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. from Tuesday to Friday and from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.
One-hour session per 50 customers is arranged every day to meet the doggos and this cause $11 per person. This routine has 1-hour gaps per session which allow the Corgis to rest and take a nap.
Their weight is also monitored that is why they do running for three times a day. They are also groomed before opening the cafe every day.
Kanawaong added that the well-being of the Corgis is their priority that is why there are playing rules in the cafe. “Because we have limited seating, we can’t accept reservations and provide first come, first served service to walk-in customers only. More details can be found on our official Facebook page.”, she said.
