If you’ve ever watched The Late Late Show with James Corden, you’ll be familiar with the Carpool Karaoke segment where he invites celebrities to sing inside a car while he goes driving usually in Los Angeles.
Now picture a group of dogs doing their version of a carpool karaoke as their owner drives them to the park. This was what happened to four German Pointers who were howling their excitement at going to their happy place.
As they drove on the way to the park, the dogs were happy, but they seemed to control their emotion at first. Then their dad asked them, “Where are we going?”
They all suddenly erupted in barks and howls as they couldn’t contain their joy at the thought of going for a walk together in their favorite spot. Each made a different noise, seemingly expressing its own unique emotion. Their little carpool karaoke appeared to be led by the dog sitting on the front passenger seat.
The dog in front kept pointing its nose upward as it continually made a high-pitched sound. The one directly behind it kept barking in a deep, loud voice.
The one sitting directly behind the man kept made short, high-pitched barks, while the one seated at the back of the second row of seats, not wanting to be left behind, suddenly moved forward and joined the revelry.
Their dad, concerned about their safety, lifted his arm and attempted to make the fourth German Pointer settle down and return to its seat, but no avail. Amused, he continued driving and watched his dogs express their elation at the imminent walk in the park.
They howled and barked nonstop for more than a minute as the car sped on the highway.
The moment they reached the park and the car stopped, they also automatically stopped as they waited to go down the vehicle.
These kinds of instances show just how expressive dogs are. They’re very friendly, provide their owners with company, and can’t help but show their excitement during moments when they’re happy.
