Maxx Powell, a firefighter and emergency medical technician (EMT) stumbled upon a lost Siberian Husky in the middle of the road. He quickly drove off to follow where the dog ran, and the Husky sat just a few inches away from the train tracks as if waiting for him.
When Maxx got off of his truck, he immediately called the dog out. Maxx approached the lost dog even though he was not entirely sure if the Husky was a friendly one.
To Maxx’s surprise, the dog sheepishly walked towards him and even rolled over on the rocky ground for a belly rub. Maxx gave the dog a quick pet before carrying him up away from the train tracks.
Maxx felt that someone must have been looking for this sweet Husky, so he decided to hold onto the dog. He feared that the dog might get hit by the train if he left it all by herself.
The Husky started munching on the food she found as soon as she got into Maxx’s truck. When Maxx was done petting the dog, he took her to a veterinary clinic to check if she has a microchip.
He also decided to post on his social media accounts about the dog he found in case someone might claim it as theirs. When the clinic said that the dog did not have any chip on her, Maxx took the dog home with him.
As soon as Maxx and the dog arrived home, he gave the most convincing introduction to his wife to let him take the dog into their family. Maxx introduced the Husky as the most lovable, and sweetest dog she ever met.
Later that night, the Husky’s owners contacted Maxx and thanked him for safekeeping the dog on their behalf. Although Maxx felt bittersweet that he won’t get to keep the dog, he was happy that the Husky is finally with his real family.
