Just like they say, there is always a rainbow after the rain. That is precisely how this pit bull, Lollipop, went through life. She was practically an eight-month-old stray when she wandered near a car wash.
Seeing the abandoned pooch, the car wash staff decided to rescue her from the busy road nearby and keep her for the day. They tied her up and played with her, immediately falling in love with her bubbly personality. Before the day ended, Cathy Officee dropped by the car wash and saw the pooch.
The moment she saw her, she just knew she wanted to take her in. And so Lollipop went home with Cathy that day. She was planning on keeping the pooch, but she also wanted to return her to her owner if she ever has one.
However, all their efforts to look for Lolli’s owners turned up in vain. No one responded to their social media posts, and no one around the neighborhood claimed her as well. After five days of searching, Cathy finally decided that Lollipop was meant for them, so she welcomed her into the family.
The pit bull was not hard to love at all. In fact, she was so bubbly and playful that she fitted right into their home. But recently, Cathy and Lollipop moved into her 90-year-old mom’s house, where Lolli immediately adjusted.
Even with the company of Cathy’s mom’s three other dogs, Lollipop stood out. This was mainly because every time she sees her grandma walking, she is already up and following her. Cathy took it as a sign of the pooch’s protectiveness.
Lollipop would always be seen following the old lady everywhere, pausing whenever she pauses and goes whenever she goes. Cathy and her mom don’t mind the pooch’s behavior at all. Well, with an adorable guardian like that, who would be annoyed?
Look at how sweet and protective this pooch is.
