Can you imagine putting together at least ten dogs from different owners for a walk? You might think this a riot in the making. But the truth is, the dogs get along very well, and everyone seems to enjoy their walk.
Dog walking made fun and easy
Being a pet parent is a huge responsibility and commitment. You need to feed your pet, bring it to the vet, groom, and play with him. And at least a couple of minutes, bring him to a walk outside. But sometimes, all these things can’t be done.
In Upstate, New York, a group called Saratoga Dog Walkers will walk your dogs when you can’t. Dogs are walked in a pack of ten to fifteen, giving them the opportunity to meet and bond with their fellow canine friends.
If your worried that your dog gets into a fight or trouble with another dog in one of these walks, fear not, because the dog walkers know what to do. In most cases, the opposite happens. The dogs are friendly to one another, and they enjoy taking their walks with the group.
Mid-day walks are good for their humans too!
These dog group walks typically take place mid-day while the canines’ humans are at work. It has always been innate for dogs to walk in packs, but the modern dog doesn’t get as much opportunity to walk alongside other dogs.
Walks are also great for the dogs’ health. It releases their pent-up energy, builds their confidence and teaches them to befriend and socialize with other dogs. Dogs who have taken their walks come home so much happier, and a happy dog makes a happy pet parent. Plus, their dogs get the chance to star in an incredibly cute photo shoot afterward!
Look how fantastic these group dog walks are!
Good, better, best. Never let it rest. ‘Til your good is better and your better is best.
